HOMICIDE DETECTIVES SEEKING THE PUBLIC'S HELP The LBPD is seeking the public's assistance in identifying a possible suspect and vehicle, which are believed to be involved in the murder of Jonathan Cordova who was gunned down on Saturday January 30, 2010 at approximately 11:30 p.m., in the area of 15th Street and Stanley Avenue. Witnesses described the suspect as male Hispanic or Puerto Rican last seen running eastbound on 15th Street away from the shooting location. (+View News Release)
SEXUAL ASSAULT SUSPECT SOUGHT
The Long Beach Police Department is seeking the public's help in identifying a suspect that is wanted in connection with a sexual assault that occurred on Wednesday, December 30, 2009, at approximately 8:00 p.m. This crime occurred in the area of Cherry Avenue and Ocean Boulevard. *IN CUSTODY* The Long Beach Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a robbery suspect wanted in connection with a string of armed robberies to businesses occurring in the Long Beach area over the past three weeks. Several businesses in Long Beach and one in Lakewood have been robbed since October 20, 2009. In each of the incidents, one suspect enters the business and demands cash while showing a handgun. Once he gets the cash, he exits the business and flees in a vehicle.
